Honey Garlic Chicken Bites with Creamy Parmesan Rice

🛒 Ingredients

For the Honey Garlic Chicken Bites

  • 1 ½ lbs (680 g) chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or butter for sautéing

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

For the Creamy Parmesan Rice

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)

1. Prepare and Cook the Chicken

  1. Pat chicken pieces dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Toss chicken pieces in the mixture until coated.

2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

  3. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
  4. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

3. Make the Creamy Parmesan Rice

  1. In a separate pot, melt the butter.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add the rice and stir so every grain is coated in butter.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and milk; stir.
  5. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 15–18 minutes until rice is soft and creamy.

  8. Adjust consistency with more milk (creamier) or broth (looser).
