Ingredients
For the Chicken
- 2 large chicken breasts, sliced in half lengthwise
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Pasta
- 250 g (8 oz) linguine
- Water (for boiling)
- 1 teaspoon salt
For the Alfredo Sauce
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Optional: a pinch of nutmeg

- Chopped parsley
- Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add salt and linguine.
- Cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside (save ½ cup of pasta water).
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
- Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Alfredo Sauce
- In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds (do not brown).
- Pour in the heavy cream and gently simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg (if using).
- Stir until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Add cooked linguine to the sauce and toss well.
- Slice the chicken and return it to the pan.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water.
- Simmer everything together for 2 minutes.
To Serve
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan.
- Serve hot with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
