Crockpot Steak Bites – Tender, Flavorful, and Melt-In-Your-Mouth Delicious!

Introduction:

If you’re looking for a hearty, low-effort, high-reward dish, these Crockpot Steak Bites are just what you need. Slow cooking transforms budget-friendly cuts of beef into juicy, tender, and savory bites soaked in a rich, garlic butter sauce. This recipe takes minimal prep time and delivers maximum flavor — great for serving over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles, or simply with a side of crusty bread to soak up that luscious sauce.

📝 Ingredients:

Main:

  • 2 lbs stew meat or sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (for searing)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary

Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional, for depth of flavor)

Optional garnish:

  • Fresh chopped parsley
  • Red pepper flakes (for a little heat)

🍳 Instructions & Method:

Step 1: Season and Sear the Steak Bites

  1. Pat the beef dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, toss beef cubes with salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, thyme, and rosemary.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the beef cubes in batches (don’t overcrowd the pan) for 2-3 minutes until browned on all sides. They don’t need to be fully cooked — just get a nice crust.
  5. Transfer seared beef to your slow cooker.

Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce (if using).
  2. Pour this sauce over the beef in the slow cooker.

Step 3: Slow Cook

  • Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or on High for 3–4 hours, until the steak is tender and flavorful.

Step 4: Serve

  • Stir the steak bites gently to coat in the sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or with crusty bread.

✅ Tips:

  • Don’t skip searing! It locks in flavor and gives great texture.
  • For an even richer sauce, stir in a tablespoon of cream or sour cream at the end.
  • You can add mushrooms or pearl onions in the last 2 hours for extra flavor.
