🧀 Ingredients

For the Sandwiches

  • 1 box buttery crackers (such as Ritz or similar)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter or soft cheese spread (pimento cheese, cheddar spread, cream cheese, etc.)
  • Optional fillings:
    • Sliced jalapeños
    • Thin chocolate squares
    • Marshmallow fluff
    • Pepperoni slices
    • Nutella
    • Ham + cheese squares

For the Butter Glaze

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (omit for sweet versions)
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 tbsp everything-bagel seasoning
  • Optional (sweet version): cinnamon + sugar instead of spices

🔥 Instructions / Method

1. Preheat

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

2. Assemble the Sandwiches

  1. Lay half the crackers face-down on the baking sheet.
  2. Spread about ½–1 teaspoon of your chosen filling on each cracker.
  3. Top with a second cracker to make a sandwich. Press gently.

3. Make the Butter Glaze

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey (or sugar), and spices.
  2. Adjust seasonings to taste — more honey for sweet, more garlic/paprika for savory.

4. Brush & Bake

  1. Brush the tops of each cracker sandwich generously with the butter glaze.
  2. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the crackers are golden and the filling is warm and melty.

5. Cool & Serve

Remove from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes (the filling will be hot!). Serve warm or at room temperature.
